Sunday 14th March – it is creeping up on us, and I am ALL for bigging up wonderful Mums, as there are so many of them who deserve it.
But why not also spend the day honouring and recognising all of those super women: all of the Mums to be; the Mothers-in-Law; the Step-Mums; the ‘Like-a-Mum’s; the Work Mums; the single Mums; the cat and dog Mums; the ‘get’s you home safe after a night on the martinis’ Mums; and all of the fabby humans in between.
All while remembering and taking a moment for those who have lost their Mums, those who are dreaming of becoming Mums, or those who don’t have the greatest relationship with them.
The day can be tough for a lot of people, so let’s acknowledge all of the lovely ladies in our lives who we are so so lucky to have, whatever their official title.
So really, I’ve put together a round up of the cards I am loving for the season, and have popped them all here for you to take a look at!
I LOVE these neon bad boys, and they are perfect to show some appreciation to someone really special!
KATY PILLINGER DESIGNS
These beautiful illustrations make me so happy, and I must also strongly suggest a look at all of the other cards available for every occasion – but be warned, you may be there a while!
TILLIE C M
Ya know what? You are the bloomin’ best… and how bloomin’ cute are these daisies?!
I’m in love with the combination of beautifully soft, muted colour palettes and honest words that are on offer from these cards!
It was a bloody struggle just picking 3 cards to show you from this one, so please do take a look at the shop for more!
Simple shapes and lush bright colours are a winning mix here, and that dungas and a striped tee combo is an absolute wardrobe staple for both me and my Mum!
Little bit cheeky and a big bit silly – what’s not to love?
LUCY MAGGIE DESIGNS
Some lovely playful designs and a FAB selection of products here!
COOL SOURCE CARDS
Simple and punny – I’m sold, how about you??
BONITA IVIE PRINTS
You know I looooove pink and orange together, so I was immediately besotted with these when I found them on Insta!
I hope those helped you to make some decisions, although I think really, it has made mine harder!
Obviously this is in no way an exclusive list of what is out there, but here’s a top tip: if you would rather steer clear of the traditional Mother’s Day cards, try searching for ‘Any Occasion’, ‘Friendship’ or ‘Just Because’ cards – there are heaps of them and bound to be one that applies to what you are wanting to say!
For all those of you who find Mother’s day difficult, we see you, we are thinking of you, and we really do care about you.
Have a fab weekend, and see you next week for another Creative Q&A – you won’t want to miss this one!
